Unpacking PCOS and Eating Disorders

Many providers receive limited training on both eating disorders and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, leaving the overlap of eating disorders and PCOS as one that is often misunderstood. This talk will help attendees better understand how PCOS influences eating disorder development and how to offer PCOS gentle nutrition recommendations in the context of eating disorder treatment and recovery. It will also unpack the complexities of body image work for those experiencing PCOS symptoms that affect appearance and mood.
