Yoga and Eating Disorders: Elemental Healing in Lived Practice
February 8, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am PST
Yoga is more than just breathing and postures; it is a comprehensive modality that supports evidence-based therapeutic techniques that dietitians and clinicians utilize in eating disorder recovery.
After watching this webinar, you will gain knowledge on what yoga is and how yoga therapy supports clients in recovery. During our time together, we will examine how yoga philosophy, mindfulness techniques, and contemplative practices integrate into the clinical space through various case studies.
Following this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Define various aspects of yoga outside of physical poses.
- Understand the role of a yoga teacher/yoga therapist as part of the comprehensive treatment team.
- Learn how trauma-informed yoga practices and techniques integrate into the clinical space and support current practices of eating disorder professionals.
