Session Title: Out of the Stuck: Using ACT and Therapeutic Strategies to Create Change
Sondra Kronberg is the Founder/Executive Director of Eating Disorder Treatment Collaborative, F.E.E.D. IOP (Facilitated Eating Events and Direction) and P.E.A.C.E. (Professional Eating and Coaching Events) programs of New York. Sondra is a nutrition therapist with 30 years of experience and a recognized leader in the field. She specializes in the collaborative treatment for the full spectrum of eating disorders including Binge Eating Disorder and Orthorexia. She is a licensed clinical nutritionist, certified eating disorder specialist and collaborative treatment consultant. Sondra is a founding member and media spokesperson of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) and received the NEDA 2017 Legacy Award. She is the author of the Comprehensive Eating Disorder Learning/Teaching Handout Series Manual and contributing author to the book, Eating Disorders in Special Populations: Medical, Nutritional and Psychological Treatment. She is currently a consultant for the Carolyn Costin Institute, training recovery coaches and teaches the iaedp Certification Nutrition Core Course. Sondra received the International Association of Eating Disorder Professional (iaedp) – Certified Specialist Award, the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) – Excellence in Treatment Award and the Sports and Cardiovascular Nutritionists (SCAN) Excellence in Practice Award. Sondra presents regularly at national conferences for professionals and the public. She brings awareness to prevention, education and treatment of eating disorders and has appeared on PBS, Good Morning America, ABC, CBS, Fox 5, Dr. Oz, 20/20 and Anderson Cooper.
