Abbie Madden (Space City Nutrition)

I’m Abbie, registered dietitian (RD) and certified eating disorder specialist (CEDS). My passion is creating a safe place for you to heal your relationship with food and your body using your definition of health.

I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University, both in nutritional sciences. I completed my dietetic internship at University of Houston, after which I worked at a local eating disorder treatment center and received extensive training in treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and ARFID. Soon after, I became a certified eating disorder specialist. In addition to eating disorders, I also specialize in nutrition therapy for polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and believe that all bodies are deserving of quality treatment and care. I am passionate about accessibility to treatment, which is why I am working to accept as many insurance carriers as possible and offer reduced rates/services based on financial need. Currently, I am in network with Aetna, United, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Sana (though coverage depends on the individual plan).

In my free time, I enjoy playing with my dog Ozzie, thrift shopping, and growing a variety of houseplants. I truly love my job and learn something new from my clients every day.
