People with eating disorders often have difficulties in their relationship with physical exercise and movement in general; In fact, hyperactivity, compulsive or purging exercise, exercising despite medical contraindications… are symptoms of the disease in themselves. However, they do not usually receive the necessary attention, and the approach is reductionist and based on prohibitions, which makes problematic exercise one of the most persistent symptoms.

Biography:
Conchi Fernández has a degree in Nutrition and an Official Master’s Degree in Eating Disorders, in addition, she’s a survivor and has recovered from anorexia nervosa which she battled with for 10 years. She was born and lives in Galicia, Spain, and is currently studying psychology to enhance her practice while providing sessions and individual support to people in recovery.She has also published a book, Sobrevivir a mí, vivir conmigo. Entender y sanar un TCA, which combines the latest science on eating disorders with her own experience and a lot of sensitivity and tools.
