Confidence in the Kitchen: Empowering Clients with Recovery-Focused Culinary Skills

This webinar explores the role of cooking in eating disorder recovery and explains how culinary skill development can help clients develop confidence with food. Attendees will learn how to integrate culinary skill development into the treatment plan and different strategies for helping our clients feel successful in their own kitchens.

Following this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the role of cooking and culinary skills in eating disorder treatment and recovery.
  2. Identify and assess for skills that support clients in their own kitchens.
  3. Learn when and how to include culinary skill development into the treatment plan.

Meagan Rothschild, RD, LD (she/her) Bio:

Meagan Rothschild, RD, LD, (she/her) is a registered dietitian specializing in culinary nutrition and the development of practical cooking skills. As the creator of Kitchen Intuition, a self-paced course and coaching program for cooking in recovery, Meagan provides a structured yet flexible approach to helping clients feel safe, capable, and confident in their own kitchens.

Meagan’s work is rooted in a weight-inclusive philosophy prioritizing self-trust and autonomy.  She believes that developing cooking skills extends far beyond meeting nutrition goals, by fostering life-enhancing abilities that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Through her collaboration with individuals, treatment teams, and education initiatives, Meagan strives to make cooking a more approachable, empowering, and sustainable experience for individuals navigating recovery.
