Endometriosis and Eating Disorders

The purpose of this presentation is to educate eating disorder dietitians about the often-overlooked intersection between endometriosis and eating disorders. The presentation will provide strategies for adapting nutrition interventions to address the unique needs of individuals struggling with both endometriosis and eating disorders. Ultimately, this knowledge will empower clinicians to provide more comprehensive, patient-centered care, leading to improved outcomes for this complex patient population. |

- Identify endometriosis, its prevalence, and its treatment options
- Name the impact of endometriosis symptoms on eating behaviors and nutritional status
- Implement nutrition therapy for endometriosis in eating disorder recovery

Megan Luybli, MS, RDN, LDN Bio:
Megan is a weight-inclusive registered dietitian and certified intuitive eating counselor. She is the founder and director of A Soft Place to Land, a multidisciplinary group practice based in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, that specializes in nutrition counseling and mental health therapy for eating disorders, chronic dieting, and body image care. She is fiercely on a mission to be a loud advocate for ethical care of every BODY. Her goal is to provide a weight-inclusive and trauma-informed safe space with an emphasis on social justice, fat liberation, self-exploration, and compassion. |
