Embracare Nutrition LLC
Description
My name is Grace. I live in Putnam County, NY with my husband, two beautiful boys, and we are a foster family as well. Prior to becoming a clinical nutritionist, I worked as a scenic artist for Broadway, The Metropolitan Opera, Movies, and Television.
As a foster parent myself, I know the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment and how food plays a role in this. I work with trauma-informed practices when supporting individuals, families, and children. I’m a clinical nutritionist and I am also a trained health coach. This means that I help clients choose “easy button” ways to improve neurotransmitter production, discover more emotional resilience and regulation, and feel more calm and collected.
Quite often the challenge isn’t just what we eat but why we eat it, and this is just one reason why my practice is weight neutral. Much of the work we will do will include nutrition education, understanding behavioral determinants, and practical application all from a trauma-informed perspective. Although I focus on nutrition behaviors, there are health conditions that require specific diets and I can help support your transition to these diets as well!
I received my Master of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition (MSACN) from Northeast College of Health Sciences in Seneca Falls, NY. I am a Certified Nutrition Specialist® (CNS), credentialed by the American Nutrition Association® through its Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists™. As a clinical nutritionist and health coach, I use a combination of both knowledge bases in my approach to nutrition counseling. I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your health and wellness goals.
