Jamie Keever, RD, LD, CEDS – EMPOWERD Nutrition Counseling, LLC
Description
Working in partnership with her clients, Jamie draws from a variety of therapeutic techniques, including family-based therapy (FBT/Maudsley Method), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), intuitive eating , cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, food chaining (expanding variety and improving novel food acceptance) and exposure and response prevention (ERP), to support the discovery of patterns that enhance their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Jamie has worked exclusively within the eating disorders treatment field for nearly 10 years treating children, adolescents and adults with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID, OSFED, and disordered/dysfunctional eating patterns. Jamie does not prescribe weight loss or promote suppressive dieting practices. Rather, she utilizes an evidence-based, non-diet approach to empower clients to restore healthier relationships with food and reconnect with their bodies through intuitive eating. She is a Health At Every Size®-aligned clinician and is committed to respecting body diversity, challenging the influence of diet culture and weight stigma, and honoring the lived experience of each individual.
