I am an experienced eating disorder-focused dietitian who practices through a HAES lens, with an anti-diet & Intuitive Eating approach. I consider anti-fatness to be a source of oppression and passionately believe that weight inclusive dietetics is the only ethical way to practice. I am committed to unlearning my own stigmatizing beliefs, and to eliminating weight stigma in the spaces of public policy, clinical education, and nutrition counseling. I plan to spend my career training and educating future RDs and other health professionals in weight-inclusive healthcare practices in order to make the world a safer place for people in larger bodies. As an RD, my mission is to: -Create a world where body size diversity is celebrated, and is seen as an asset, rather than a liability. -Prevent and treat eating disorders by helping clients identify and debunk diet culture lies. -Abolish the BMI forever.
