Nicole Mesita Nutrition Therapy
Description
I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings as a dietitian. I completed both my bachelor’s degree and my dietetic internship at California State University, Chico, where I was also a NCAA cross country and track athlete. Through my experience, I felt compelled to help people of all shapes and sizes discover peace with food, exercise and their bodies. I am passionate about leading people towards freedom from chronic dieting and adapt a mindful approach to eating. I have a wide range of counseling skills from diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, eating disorders and weight concerns. I also enjoys working with families using the Satter Eating Competence Model to give parents the tools they need to feed a healthy family.
Lastly, I contribute to a Christian faith-based health blog called Body Bloved. Although I work with clients of all faith or no faith backgrounds, one of my areas of expertise is Christian member care. When integrating faith, I take a client-centered approach and honor the client’s lead in spiritual emphasis.
As a Christian, I can tailor our sessions together from a Christian perspective. I am not an expert in theology and I do not have a Bible degree, but I do have confidence and faith in what the Lord says to us about food and our bodies.
