| This webinar will explore the complex intersection of substance use disorders and eating disorders. We’ll examine prevalence rates, differences in presentation across eating disorder subtypes, and the often-debated question of which condition to treat first.
This session will also explore the overlap between recovery models for addiction and eating disorders, and the functional roles these behaviors may serve. Providers will walk away feeling more equipped to work with these types of clients that are often deemed “difficult” and “resistant,” but are often just misunderstood |

Sydney Greene, MS, RDN Bio:
Sydney Greene has worked in the behavioral nutrition space as a Registered Dietitian in private practice, freelance writer, speaker, and consultant to addiction treatment facilities. Her focus areas are nutrition for addiction recovery, eating disorders, and body image. She holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in nutrition from New York University, belongs to the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians, and serves as the Addictions Resource Professional for the Behavioral Health Nutrition Practice Group of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In recovery from her own eating and substance use disorders, Sydney’s goal is to reach more individuals with the message that supportive eating can be a stepping stone to recovery.
