This webinar dives into the overlap between ADHD and eating disorders: two conditions that show up together a lot in practice, but are often missed or misunderstood. People with ADHD experience differences in motivation, impulse control, and executive functioning that can make eating regularly and nourishing themselves consistently really hard. In this webinar, we’ll explore how dietitians can support clients with ADHD through practical, compassionate, and realistic approaches: ones that work with the ADHD brain instead of against it. Through case examples, relatable client scenarios, and tangible tools, participants will leave with ideas on how they can better support this population in their work. |

Following this presentation, participants will:
- Understand how ADHD affects focus, motivation, reward, and decision-making around food.
- Recognize how symptoms like inattention, impulsivity, and emotional dysregulation can show up in eating patterns (like skipping meals, binge eating, or chaotic eating).
- Identify the biggest barriers clients with ADHD face around structure, consistency, and nutrition follow-through.
- Apply ADHD-informed strategies that make meal planning and nourishment feel doable, not shame-based.

Vanessa Anoia, DtP, RDN Bio:
Vanessa Anoia is a Registered Dietitian working in Canada and the United States, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, and sports nutrition for people of all ages. She uses a harm-reduction, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach to guide her clients throughout recovery.
Shaped from her own journey and professional knowledge, Vanessa also brings a unique perspective to clients struggling with ADHD and eating disorders. She understands firsthand the complexities of managing impulsive eating behaviors, struggling with the feeling of control, and the challenges of daily functioning with ADHD, and how this impacts eating patterns.
