Libby Bloom, RDN

Description

Libby specializes in nutrition therapy that supports healing from disordered eating and body image distress through an individualized, compassionate, and justice-informed approach. Rooted in the principles of Intuitive Eating and the Health at Every Size® framework, her work centers autonomy, compassion, and the belief that all bodies are worthy of care.

In her practice, Libby helps people move away from the harms of diet culture and toward a more peaceful and embodied relationship with food and body. She creates a supportive, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and care—at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. Depending on each client’s needs, sessions may include working with hunger and fullness cues, untangling rigid food rules, supporting nervous system regulation, or challenging internalized weight stigma. Her approach is collaborative and consent-based, always guided by each person’s values, identities, and lived experience.

Libby works with individuals across the spectrum of disordered eating, including those who don’t meet diagnostic criteria but feel stuck in cycles of guilt, restriction, or body shame. She affirms LGBTQ+ identities, honors neurodivergent ways of being, and practices from a trauma-informed, fat-positive lens. She is especially mindful of the broader systems—like fatphobia, healthism, and ableism—that shape our relationships with food and body.

Through The Crooked Carrot, Libby partners with clients to reduce shame, expand flexibility, and support nourishment that feels good—physically, mentally, and emotionally. She regularly collaborates with therapists, physicians, and other care providers to support integrated, whole-person healing.
