Description
I am a Registered Dietitian and New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist. My clinical experience spans nutrition counseling for a range of medical conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and kidney disease, with a special interest in disordered eating and eating disorders. My approach is heavily informed by Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating paradigms, as well as my research into fatphobia and racism in the founding of the dietetics field.
I believe that the society we live in perpetuates dangerous myths about eating, weight, and health and I was inspired to pursue a career in nutrition to mitigate the harmful effects of diet culture and fatphobia at both the individual and the societal level. I believe that everyone is deserving of the right to a joyful and nourishing relationship with food, and I view nourishment as a means of self-care, as well as a vehicle for connection with our loved ones. I am also strongly committed to making sure LGBTQ+ clients feel seen, respected, and safe in her care.
