I’m Pau—though many people affectionately call me Kiki. I’m a nutritionist living in Costa Rica; I love dogs and have a long-haired dachshund named Neo 🐶. I love sleeping 😴, and if I had to choose just one type of clothing to wear, it would be pajamas. I started my career the way most nutritionists do: prescribing weight-loss diets and equating weight loss with health. Over time—and after completing my master’s degree in eating disorders 🇪🇸—I realized that this approach actually causes harm. I’ve undergone an incredible personal transformation and completely revamped my professional methodology ✨—a process that was further strengthened during the pandemic. My approach is entirely anti-diet and 100% rooted in intuitive eating, based on the Health at Every Size (HAES) model. I firmly believe in body diversity and that all bodies, regardless of size, deserve to be treated with respect. A few years ago, I became an ambassador for the program BodyKind that helps increase student body appreciation, reduce appearance comparisons on social media, and prevent eating disorders.
