Complex Intervention When It Matters Most: A Case Study Review

April 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am PDT

This webinar utilizes case studies to explore common yet complex patient profiles of individuals who benefit from inpatient medical stabilization. Case studies will cover numerous topics, including medical complications associated with restricting and purging behaviors, comorbid conditions that can complicate effective treatment for the eating disorder, adverse effects of medications frequently prescribed for those with eating disorders, and complications associated with aggressive weight loss. Learners will gain an increased understanding of these medical complications and associated interventions that allow for effective nutritional rehabilitation and weight restoration.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the myriad medical complications associated with eating disorders
  2. Evaluate some of the medical oversight and treatment interventions that allow for more effective nutritional rehabilitation and weight restoration
  3. Demonstrate when patients should be referred to a higher level of care
Level B: Skills and Application
At this level, learners move beyond theory to actively apply knowledge in practical settings. Emphasis is on developing proficiency, problem-solving, and hands-on skills that can be implemented in real-world scenarios. Ideal for practitioners looking to strengthen their capabilities.
