Description
As a Registered Dietitian, Wellness Coach, and Certified Personal Trainer for over 20 years, I am committed to providing excellent nutrition therapy services with compassion and inclusivity. I have witnessed the harm caused by chronic dieting and eating disorders, and maintain expertise in eating disorder recovery. In addition, I respect the science of nutrition and stay abreast of best Medical Nutrition Therapy practices for diabetes management, cardiovascular health, and gastrointestinal wellness.
I utilize a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach, which focuses on your holistic wellness goals independent of the weight scale. I am following the emerging science of nutritional psychiatry in order to better serve your mental wellness needs. A personal interest of mine is in healing both individual and collective trauma; while I am not a psychotherapist, I do provide trauma-informed collaborative care.
Clients appreciate my honest, flexible, and direct approach. We often enjoy lighthearted moments throughout our sessions. Clients regularly express that they are surprised by what they learn, and by the lifestyle changes that they make, from our work together. I strive to help people find a stronger connection to their bodies as they heal their relationships with food, eating, body image, and movement.
