RootED Nutrition and Counseling is an outpatient practice owned by Caroline Burkholder, MS, RD, LD. She offers in person appointments in Knoxville, TN, and virtual appointments to residents of Georgia, Maryland, and Tennessee. Caroline provides support for individuals with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image disturbances. Treatment is multimodal and pulls from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Based Treatment (FBT), feminist theory, DBT, and mindfulness.
Caroline Burkholder, MS, RD, LD is a Health at Every Size aligned eating disorder provider in Tennessee, Georgia, and Maryland. She is also working towards her licensure as a psychotherapist. Her treatment is informed by Feminist Theory, Intuitive Eating, Family-Based Treatment, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Radically Open DBT. Caroline works primarily with teens and young adults struggling with Anorexia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, and Orthorexia. As a former collegiate athlete and a current endurance athlete, Caroline is interested in the intersection of eating disorders and endurance sports. Caroline takes Aetna insurance.
