Hi! I am a Registered Dietitian, based in both US and Asia (Hong Kong and Taipei). I help Asians and Pacific Islanders to break their cultural obsession of body ideals with refocusing on their true mind-body health.

Asians and Pacific Islanders grew up with comments about their weight and body sizes all the time. I could totally relate to this since I grew up in Hong Kong, and relatives would greet me with the classic phrase “did you gain weight” instead of saying hello.

Many of us are chasing after body ideals that are impossible to achieve and thinking we are doing it for the sake of health and success. Through my own nutrition training and health struggles, I notice that health is multi-dimensional, and more than just the number on the scale.

Through working 1-on-1 with me, I help you to nurture healthier relationships with food and exercise, and incorporate self-compassion and mindfulness into your daily lives. I support you to live to your fullest potential without being restricted by diet culture, and guide you to define your own success as Asians and Pacific Islanders.

My goal through my practice is to create a weight-inclusive environment for Asians to focus on cultivating their true mind-body health.

My approach is informed by various principles including Health At Every Size ®, Intuitive Eating ®, Trauma-Informed Care. For eating disorder care, I utilize principles from CBT, ACT and Family Based Treatment (age 15+). If you choose to work with me, we will be on this journey together to discover your preferences on food and movements, disease-related constraints, mental health and impacts from cultural expectations/rules as Asians and Pacific Islanders.

I have 12 years of expertise in managing chronic conditions such as eating disorders, disordered eating, diabetes, heart disease and gut disorders, for a racial and body-size diverse population.
