Information

Kelsey Smith, RD, LDN

I am a registered dieitian offering outpatient, virtual services through a lovely, trauma-informed practice called Healthier Tomorrow’s. I am licensed in Florida and Illinois, and am receptive to obtaining licensure where needed to provide access to care.

Healthier Tomorrow’s does accept the following insurance plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Blue Choice
  • United Healthcare
  • Aetna
  • Northwestern University Aetna Student Health (NU-SHIP)

I provide individualized, client-centered counseling and care for each of my clients deeply! Their recovery and well-being is my priority. I have experience in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Level of Care. I believe that foods do not hold moral value, and that food should be just as much about joy as it is about nourishment; and still – hold reverence for the reality that peace or neutrality with food may be a more attainable goal for some. I view movement as play and enjoy supporting my clients in taking back movement for all that it offers outside of diet culture, stripping movement of its culturally assigned implications for body modification. I also enjoy supporting clients to challenge their ideas around rest, pleasure, and leisure.

I highly value collaboration with my client’s treatment providers and ensuring continuity of care.

In addition to my passion for eating disorder and disordered eating care, I also provide medical nutrition therapy services through a HAES-aligned, weight-inclusive lens. I focus on behavior-centric goal setting, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to managing chronic illness that do not promote unnecessary restriction or weight bias.
