Mackenzie Blair Nutrition Counseling
Description
I’m a Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, and weight-inclusive nutrition care. My work is grounded in a compassionate, evidence-based approach that helps clients rebuild trust with food, better understand their bodies, and move away from rigid rules, guilt, and fear around eating.
I support clients across the spectrum of eating disorder recovery, including those struggling with restriction, binge eating, purging, chronic dieting, food anxiety, body image concerns, and a complicated relationship with movement or health behaviors. I also work with clients who may not identify with a formal eating disorder diagnosis but recognize that food and body concerns are taking up more space in their lives than they would like.
My approach is rooted in intuitive eating, weight-inclusive care, and Health at Every Size principles. Rather than centering weight as the goal of treatment, I help clients focus on adequate nourishment, flexibility, body attunement, health-supportive behaviors, and a more peaceful relationship with food. I believe nutrition care should be individualized, collaborative, and free from shame.
In sessions, I combine nutrition counseling with motivational interviewing, mindfulness, acceptance-based strategies, and CBT-informed techniques. I work closely with therapists, physicians, and other members of the treatment team when appropriate to provide coordinated, client-centered eating disorder care.
My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood and supported while also being gently challenged to examine the beliefs and behaviors keeping them stuck. Recovery is not about eating “perfectly”—it is about building greater flexibility, trust, and freedom so food can take up less mental and emotional space in everyday life.
