Serenity Nutrition Therapy
Hi Hi! I'm Jessica, a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorder recovery, and owner of Serenity Nutrition Therapy. I have experience working with all types of eating disorders, particularly with adolescents and severe and enduring cases. My approach to nutrition therapy is aimed in meeting clients where they are. While I am the dietitian, I understand that food is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to recovery. I believe that there is often more to the story than what appears on the surface, and I work to understand the unique challenges and circumstances that each individual faces in their journey. This is the perspective I use when providing evidence-based care to my clients, as I also believe that a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach is essential to long-term recovery.
In my practice, I aim to bring joy, laughter, and connection to sessions. I also place a high priority on professional coordination of care and work closely with other healthcare providers to ensure that my clients receive the best possible support in all areas of their treatment.
On the more technical side, I am a professional member of several organizations, including AND (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics), DIFM (Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine), IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals), EDRDPro (Eating Disorder Registered Dietitians & Professionals), and CTEDS (Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists). I am licensed to practice in Texas, California, Colorado, and Michigan! Along with this, I am a part of the Healers Circle for Project Heal, helping provide equitable and affordable eating disorder support to those around the U.S. As a Mexican immigrant myself, I am committed to always learning and creating a culturally inclusive and welcoming environment for all clients- and I am fluent in Spanish!
My goal is to help my clients restore their relationship with food, their body, and themselves. With my individualized approach and focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, I am confident that together, we can navigate the path towards recovery.
