Lori Adams, RDN, CSSD, LD, CEDS-S (she/her) Bio:

Lori is a registered dietitian nutritionist, board certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD), and certified eating disorders specialist & approved supervisor (CEDS-S).  She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and dietetic internship at St Louis University.  She was also the recipient of an athletic scholarship for the NCAA Division I women’s soccer program while at St Louis University.

Over the years, Lori gained experience in a variety of clinical and community settings and began her outpatient practice in 2008. In 2012, Lori returned to McCallum Place and had the opportunity to assist in the development of the Victory Program, the first program in the country designed to treat elite athletes with eating disorders. She worked alongside multiple industry-leading experts and gained invaluable experience treating eating disorders in the sport culture.

Lori is currently the Co-Founder of Alo Nutrition, a group practice providing nutrition counseling for clients with eating disorders across the country.  While Lori specializes in treating athletes with eating disorders, she has a depth of experience working with clients of all ages, genders, and diagnoses in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.  As an iaedp-approved supervisor, she provides supervision for clinicians seeking professional growth and development in the field of eating disorders.

As an advocate for eating disorder awareness and education, she volunteers time as the secretary for the International Association for Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) St. Louis chapter, is a board member and speaker for the MO Eating Disorder Association (MOEDA), and a contributing expert to the Voice in Sport (VIS) community.
